Starting this week, two Mercedes Vito vans will be cruising all over Singapore to help promote new programmes on Radio 91.3FM and Radio 100.3FM, as well as the DJs hosting them.
The two vans, Radio 91.3FM's 913 Mercedes Vito Thundertruck and Radio 100.3FM's 1003 Mercedes Vito Station Van, are manned by DJs from their respective stations. They are expected to make three trips each day to different parts of the island and will engage the public and listeners in friendly chats and activities in which they can win freebies such as car decals, Pepsi drinks and Sony Ericsson products.
The deejays will also deliver free lunches to loyal fans. In addition, motorists whose vehicles are spotted with either station's decal stand to win great prizes.
SPH UnionWorks' General Manager, Ms Goh Wee Wang explains the rationale behind the new initiative: "We want to be seen and heard everywhere, everyday. Not just do we want to make radio listening a part of people's lives, we also want to thank listeners for making the switch over to our two stations."
To find out where the vans will be heading, listeners can tune in to Radio 91.3FM and Radio 100.3FM.
