Go Kraze-y for charity

KOREAN actress Park Eun Hye caused a minor stir among fans and curious shoppers at Paragon's BreadTalk Silver on Tuesday.

She was there to launch the bread shop chain's Korean Kraze series of buns, flavoured with Korean ingredients such as kimchi and black fungus.

There are 2,500 buns for sale at $2 each at the Paragon outlet. The idea is to raise $5,000 for the National University Hospital's Patientcare Charity Fund to benefit kids who need bone marrow transplants.

BreadTalk hopes that the bread will sell out in a week but has already presented a pre-sale cheque of $5,000 to the charity.

Park, 29, who played Lee Yeun Seng, a royal maid turned concubine in the hit Korean drama Jewel In The Palace, said: 'I have a friend whose child had cancer. I saw how sick he was and he died after kindergarten. It's always made me sad.'
