Who says you can't have lunch in a pastry shop?
You can enjoy a hearty meal of soup, salad, sandwich, stew and pasta at Canele Patisserie Chocolaterie which has opened its third and biggest outlet at Raffles City Shopping Centre.
Located at the basement, the chic 74-seat cafe with a retail counter cum cafe bathes in natural light streaming in from the sky ceiling. Water spurting from fountains in the reflection pool surrounding the dining area refreshes and prepares you for the yummy confections and hearty pastas and stews.
Customers walking into the shop and passers-by can view the tempting display of handcrafted pralines, cakes and macaroons stretching along the shopfront. Fans of awardwinning pastry chef Pang Kok Keong would be able to recognise his signature creations which are available too at Canele's other outlets at Robertson Walk and Paragon shopping centre.
Also available are homemade ice creams, sorbets, pastries, jams, cookies and luxury hampers.
Go for Chef Pang's signature hot desserts like the Classic French Toast and dessert crepes. Early risers can enjoy hearty breakfast sets such as Eggs Florentine and Blue Berry Pancake.
Drinks start from $4; soups from $8.50; sandwiches from $13.50; salads from $9.50; pastas from $13.50; ice creams and sorbets at $8; braised dishes and stews from $12.50; and crepes from $12.50.
Set lunches range from $S19 to S$24.
Canele also offers customised services such as wedding cakes, birthday cakes, wedding favours and chocolates, pastries, cakes and breads for both corporate and personal events.
