Crushed chocolate comforts

How in the world do you top a Tim Tam? You know what I'm talking about: that chocolate-coated Australian biscuit that is part of many tea breaks Down Under and all over the world.

Over the years, different versions have appeared. Dark chocolate coating. Double chocolate coating. A whole host of different fillings.

Now, there's Tim Tam Crush and it beats them all by a mile. This version of the cookie has a biscuit base covered with toffee, studded with cashews and peanuts and then coated in chocolate.

It is as good as it sounds.

Tim Tam Crush, $4.80 for a 150g pack, from Candy Empire, B2-32/33 VivoCity, tel: 6376-9610. Opening hours: 10am to 10pm daily.
