The Australian Certified Wagyu Beef Pty Ltd has issued a press release expressing its regret that a recent consignment (over production) of Jacks Creek Wagyu Beef was sold domestically within Australia under export seal and unfortunately ended up in Singapore and marketed by Vic's Meats.

Dated March 11, 2008, the statement said: "It is extremely important to note that Jacks Creek Wagyu represents a Marble Score 5-6 and not 6-7 as is currently being incorrectly marketed by Vic's Meat, Singapore. It is also important to advise that at no time did Australian Certified Wagyu authorize Vic's Meat to use our Company Information to promote our products through their website or any other marketing materials."

The Australian producer named Indoguna (S) Pte Ltd as the exclusive llicensed distributor in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai for the following brands of Wagyu, produced by Australian Certified Wagyu Beef Pty Ltd:

Little Jacks Creek
Jacks Creek
Auskobe

The statement added: "During our 4 year partnership Indoguna has invested considerable time and financial cost to promote our quality brands of Wagyu and it has been through this dedication by the entire Indoguna Team that has allowed our brands to enjoy the success that they do today. We sincerely apologise for any confusion that this incorrect (below cost) placement of stock has caused in the market place, not too mention the embarrassing position we have placed one of our valued trading partners in Indoguna."
