Oriental marinated chicken with young ginger, chives & shoyu

Steamed chicken is a healthy dish, and it doesn't have to be boring. Chef Nabil Taufiq Tan of Whitebait & Kale shows you how, with VitaCuisine (above, inset).

Ingredient

  • Fresh chicken breast (200g ) - 1 pc, skin removed
  • Young ginger - 1 cm knob (Sliced)
  • Shoyu - 1 teaspoon
  • Chives - 3 stalk
  • Sesame oil - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 1 (crushed)
  • Potato - 1 (sliced 1cm thick)
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 4 pcs (halved)

Method

Marinate chicken breast with young ginger, garlic, shoyu and sesame oil half an hour before or overnight

Place potato slices and shiitake mushrooms in steel baskets of Vitacuisine

Place marinated chicken breast in the top plate with chives

Steam for 15 minutes or until chicken breast is just cooked.

Sliced cooked chicken breast and serve with potato slices and shiitake. Pour broth over. Serve.
