Some Time Next Galaxy - The Analog Girl

Time magazine picked The Analog Girl as one of five Asian faces to watch this year. The young woman (real name - Mei Wong) isn't exactly new to the scene. She has been putting out indie releases since the mid-1990s.

This new mini-album of seven songs certainly benefits from the sound mastering of London-based Mandy Parnell, who provides The Analog Girl's lo-fi basement blinks with a crisp, neon-glow sheen. As a result, there is much to savour, in terms of texture and invention, in the intricate electro-pop showcased here.
